EDIS 5720 - Word Study Workshop Written as an overview of a word-study approach to phonics in the classroom, this course will introduce the stages that children negotiate as they become readers and connect instruction in spelling/word study to reading at each level. The workshop is not intended to be as in-depth a treatment of developmental word knowledge as the three-hour graduate course.
