PSYC 7635 - Psychology and Law


Will investigate10topics for which psychology has (or might have, or might think it has) things to say to the legal system. Our goal is to learn about the current state of affairs in both domains and propose ways to facilitate the exchange of knowledge between the two disciplines. Topics include eyewitness testimony; confessions; jury decision making, implicit biases; punishment; affective forecasting and decision making about the future. Prerequisites: Background in either (cognitive or social) psychology or in law.
