CE 4160 - Environmental Microbiology for Engineers

General introduction to principles of environmental microbiology for undergraduates. We will explore quantitatively and qualitatively the ways in which microbes mediate cycling of organic pollutants. Special emphasis on engineered environmental systems (e.g., wastewater treatment and landfills). No previous biology coursework is required.
