PLCP 424 - Post-Soviet Challenges: Nationalism, Conflicts, Chechnya The end of the Cold War coincided with a wave of national revivals that spread across Central and Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. This course focuses on the origins of nationalism, separatism, secessions, and irredentist claims in the Russian Federation and other former Soviet republics. (SS)
