ANTH 3665 - Trade Diasporas: Exchanges and Connections across Asia Trade is one of the earliest forms of cross-cultural exchanges and the most important external stimuli. Asia was a region that had highly developed trans-regional trade and commerce since before the European arrival. This course thus takes the social, political, and economic history of Asia as a field for examining various forms of trade diasporas in Asia throughout time, from Asian caravan peddling traders to European East India companies.
