BME 2000 - Biomedical Engineering Design and Discovery Provides overview of the BME discipline and major sub-disciplines (biomechanics, genetic engineering, tissue engineering, bioelectricity, imaging, cellular engineering, computational systems biology), covers conceptual and detail design processes, and introduces quantitative tools utilized throughout the BIOM curriculum. A major focus of the class will be formulation and execution of a design project. Prerequisite: CS 101, PHYS 142, and ENGR 162, or instructor permission.
