CE 6010 - Computational Methods in Civil Engineering

Students will be introduced to fundamental numerical methods common to different areas of Civil Engineering in preparation for independent research and practice. The methods will be taught in a computationally-oriented environment based on MATLAB (with additional computational packages when applicable) with a strong emphasis on output data mining (post processing) and visualization. Actual application of the techniques will be taken from Environmental, Structural and Transportation Engineering areas. A semester-long project will enhance students¿ exposure to research in the chosen areas of specialization. Prerequisite: Graduate Standing or Instructor Permission
