PLCP 4130 - Political Economy of Advanced Industrial Economies

Examines how the U. S., Germany, and Japan politically organize their major industries, and the economic consequences of this regulation. Compares financial systems, unionization, and firms’ internal organization, looking at relations between firms and labor, labor and the state, and firms and the state. Prerequisite: PLIR 205 or instructor permission.
