MAE 753 - Optimal Dynamical Systems

Introduces the concept of performance metrices for dynamical systems and examines the optimization of performances over both parameter and function spaces. Discusses both the existence of optimal solutions to dynamic problems and how these may be found. Such results provide via limits to performance of dynamic systems, which delineate what can and cannot be achieved via engineering. Constitutes a basis for more advanced study in design synthesis and optimal control. Cross-listed as ECE 723. (O)

Prerequisites & Notes
