HES 735 - Health Behavior and Health Promotion This core M.P.H. course is focused on the assessment of individuals, families, and communities in health and illness. Selected models derived from health promotion/disease prevention are integrated as a basis for developing an understanding of the specific content and process of assessment of individuals, families, and communities. In addition, research foundations of health promotion and disease prevention across the life span are examined. Emphasis is placed on the use of existing knowledge to guide advanced nursing and public health practice in culturally-competent interventions for the promotion of health. Cross-listed as GNUR 702.
