MSE 662 - Mathematics of Materials Science


Representative problems in materials science are studied in depth with emphasis on understanding the relationship between physical phenomena and their mathematical description. Topics include rate processes, anelasticity, eigenvalue problems, tensor calculus, and elasticity theory. (Y)
