PSYC 405 - Theoretical Orientations in Psychotherapy

Description of course contents: This is a seminar class designed to provide an introduction to the many theoretical orientations in psychotherapy. The heart of the course will focus on the theories that practicing clinicians and scientists use to inform their work, and we will integrate into our studies a number of topics of special importance to the field of clinical psychology, including ethics, cultural diversity, empirically-supported treatments, and processes underlying client change and outcomes.
