ISHU 425 - Script Analysis

Students will survey classical to contemporary plays with a focus on developing the ability to read dramatic texts intended for performance. Students will investigate structure, plot, character and imagery, and scrutinize playwrights’ methods of making meaning as distinct from other forms of literature. This analysis will enrich the student’s appreciation of the play text as a blueprint for production. (IR)
