CE 671 - Introduction to Finite Element Methods

Focuses on the fundamentals and basic concepts of the finite element method; modeling and discretization; application to one-dimensional problems; direct stiffness method; element characteristics; interpolation functions; extension to plane stress problems. (Y)

Prerequisite: CE 471 or equivalent.
