AM 631 - Fluid Mechanics I


Analyzes of hydrostatics, including surface tension; kinematics; non-inertial reference frames; rigorous formulation of conservation equations for mass, momentum, and energy; Euler and Bernoulli equations; vorticity dynamics; two-dimensional potential flow theory, complex potentials; applications to airfoils; the Navier-Stokes equations: selected exact and approximate solutions.
