SOC 422 - Contemporary Social Problems Explore the processes by which social problems emerge and are defined by collective social action. Sociological perspective on social problems will be studied through case studies of specific issues including eugenics, physical child abuse, sexual abuse, school misbehavior, drugs, smoking and others. Prerequisites & Notes 6 credits of Sociology or instructor permission, SOC 222 recommended.
