ANTH 279 - Archeology in Middle Atlantic States

The Middle Atlantic region—from New York through Virginia—has been an area of interest for archaeologists since the 18^th century. This course will provide an overview of the prehistory and history of the region, as well as discussions of how archaeologists—both past and present—use forms of material culture to understand the lives of past people in this area.
