Graduate School of Architecture: Financial Assistance

Financial assistance is available to graduate students in the following areas:

Federal Financial Aid
The University helps many graduate students with limited funds meet their college expenses through a variety of programs. Student Financial Services administers financial aid, including Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loans, Federal Graduate PLUS Loans, and/or Federal Work-Study funds. Departmental Aid
Departmental aid includes privately endowed scholarships and fellowships that are awarded through the School of Architecture by individual departments. Incoming students are automatically considered for departmental aid as part of the admission review process. No separate aid application is required.

In addition, the School of Architecture has a number of funding opportunities it offers to continuing students annually based on a competitive application process. These include, but are not limited to, independent travel scholarships, funding for research and thesis development, and financial assistance to attend summer and study abroad programs. Student Employment
The School of Architecture provides its students with opportunities to apply for paid assistantships (instructor assistants, research assistants, and staff assistants) at the graduate level.
